Notes on the 2019 fixture list

The league structure for the coming season has already been distributed to clubs indicating which teams will be competing in the seven divisions.  Divisions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 have 10 Teams and will play 18 Games.  Division 7 will have eight Teams and play 16 games, each team will play 2 Teams 3 Times.

Unfortunately there are a few Teams with several weeks of either home or away games for more than 2 weeks in succession and there are a couple of fixtures whereby Teams play each other on successive weeks, I appreciate this is not ideal but I spent a lot of time trying to change this, although significantly reduced from original plan I could not avoid it completely.

The same as last season there is a block of fixtures in the “overs” format at the beginning of the season, then all of the traditional format fixtures, followed by the rest of the “overs” matches to round off the season.   In the attached fixture list the “overs” fixtures are in black and those in red are the traditional format matches.    Note that the start and end of the traditional matches are not on the same Saturday for all divisions.    Also in some divisions there are the two formats being played on the same Saturdays.  All teams however, play their traditional matches in one block and their “overs” games in two blocks.   There is no chopping and changing for Teams between the two formats.

Divisions 1, 2 & 3 will be 90 overs and those in divisions 4,5,6 and 7 – 80 overs

It is important when submitting the results of matches to the secretary that the points gained by both teams are included.
